If you’re in the locality, Sloane Shopping Association have a series of Christmas events lined up for the 25 November 2009.
See below for a line up of the evening’s festivities: -
5pm – 5.30pm, Christmas Carol Service, Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street
A family Christmas carol service, with friendly face St. Nicholas making a special guest appearance, where he will greet local school children upon leaving the Church at 5.30pm. A traditionally cloaked St. Nicholas will then lead a Christmas cavalcade through Sloane Square and towards Duke of York Square in his open horse drawn carriage.
6pm, Official ‘Christmas Light Switch On’ Duke of York Square
The evening will see an official light switch on brought to audiences by the sensational jazz troupe ‘The Hat Pack’. The live switch on will take place in Duke of York Square – illuminating the entire Sloane area with glittering and glamorous decorations and simultaneously transforming Sloane Street, Sloane Square, Duke of York Square, Pont Street and Ellis Street into a beautifully chic winter wonderland.
6 – 8pm, ‘An Evening of Festive Jazz’ on Duke of York Square
The lively Hat Pack trio will be returning to perform a slick selection of swing classics both old and new in a performance guaranteed to get you dancing in the moonlight! Local retailers will be selling mulled wine and a range of festive treats to enjoy throughout the performance. Seating will be provided.
