Top London tourist hotspots listed in new London iPhone app– According to David Beckham!

With an onslaught of tourists having arrived in London throughout the summer, David Beckham announced his top tourist hotspots in London.

The iconic footballer said that Buckingham Palace was his number one tourist attraction in the capital, which of course the Beckham’s visited for the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton last year. Sharing his enthusiasm towards Buckingham Palace, David Beckham stated:

“Buckingham Palace is in the heart of London and it’s been the scene of so many great moments in British history – none of us will ever forget the amazing wedding last year”

Somewhat amusingly Beckham ranked his second favourite London hotspot as being Tony Lane’s pie and mash shop in East London, which serves simple yet delicious traditional cockney cuisine!

The Essex-born and bred super-celebrity’s fond affirmations towards London and its many world-class and truly unique tourist attractions can be found in a new iPhone app that is a part of a guide for national tourism made by the tourism agency, VisitBritain.

Asides recommending Buckingham Palace as the top place to visit in London and Tony’s Lane Pie and Mash shop as surpassing all eateries in Los Angeles, David Beckham also advises those visiting London to embark on a Wembley Stadium Tour, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city by walking around Richmond Park or Hyde Park, to go shopping in any three of London’s legendary markets – Portobello, Spitalfields or Camden, to go on a family day out at the Harry Potter Studio Tour, and not to miss out on experiencing London’s vibrant theatre scene.

Asides eating pie and mash at Tony’s Lane, the former England footballer also recommends eating Cecconi’s, a contemporary yet classic Italian restaurant situated in Mayfair, and NOPI, a top-notch Mediterranean restaurant in Soho.

Just how long do you think we’ll be spending in London, Mr. Beckham?
